Today I’m participating in the WordPress weekly photo challenge twice: once here and the other on my photography website, so feel free to hop over and view my selected photos.
As a parent, I have a lot to look forward to. I’m looking forward to my son’s birthday party tomorrow.
I’m looking forward to more thank you notes when I bake yummy food with my kids. Oh, and I’m also looking forward to teaching my son how to spell “chocolate” correctly. ;-)
I’m looking forward to more great reading over the next few weeks.
And I’m looking forward to showing my kids how beautiful the world around them is, especially when they take a closer look. This is what we spotted this morning by the school: morning dew and leftover raindrops from yesterday’s heavy rain. Nature is so pretty.
Have fun with the birthday party! I remember those days. Now it’s an afternoon of laser tag or an arcade with their friends. Much easier for Mom. :)
Haha, I hear you! Fortunately my kids don’t ask or expect huge birthday parties, so it’s more intimate and we all have time to enjoy one another’s company.
We usually do a family meal out for the ‘family’ birthday party, and then they do the arcade thing for their ‘friends’ birthday. But we tell people not to bring presents. After a certain age, it’s more about just hanging out with their friends.
That sounds like fun. Little kids still LOVE to get presents. :-)
Love the dew pictures…and I think chocolate is pretty great however it is spelled. Now I’ve got to bop over to your other site to see what pictures are there.
I agree about chocolate. No matter what letters you use, it still spells out Y-U-M-M-Y!
Whaaaaaaaaa . . . you made chocolete cookies and didn’t invite me over?
Aw, you’re welcome to come over for cookies, cake and tea anytime. As long as you play with the kids. :-)
I’d love to. I miss having my rug rats around.
I bet my boys would be quite a change from your girls!
Sounds like fun. Chocolate is a hard word to spell. I still have to think about it :-)
It is hard to spell! It’s a lot easier to eat, that’s for sure.
Have a wonderful party!!! Love the photo with the dew. :D
Thank you! That dew on the grass was a nice surprise.
Happy birthday to your sweet son!
Thanks, Julie!
I hope he had a good party!
He sure did, and he celebrated his birthday very well today too. :-)
