Hodgepodge Friday

I wanted to share a few things with you today, so instead of writing several posts, I’m grouping them in a single one, in hodgepodge fashion.

1) I’m participating in the WordPress weekly photo challenge: Green theme on my nature photography website, so hop on over if you’d like to see my green picks. Here’s a preview for you:

2) Today only, until 4pm PST, you can use this coupon code 2012LASTFFHS at checkout to receive 50% off on many products in my nature photography store, including my 2013 photo calendar, posters, canvas prints and ornaments. Some of these items would make great Christmas gifts.

Zazzle displays products created by many artists, so even if you don’t buy something from me, you may find interesting items in other stores. Click on your country-specific link below to start your browsing. But remember, this coupon code is for today only!

If you’re not located in the USA, view this Zazzle post on my photography website to access all the country links.

3) I stumbled upon this wonderful quote by Jack Kerouac on Facebook the other day and I wanted to share it with you. This is for all of us who sometimes think we don’t fit the mold, no matter how hard other people have tried to make us fit in there. And for those of us with children who don’t fit the mold, who think outside the box. This is to remind us there’s no point fitting a round peg into a square hole. Let’s embrace differences. The world would be such a boring place if we were all the same.

  1. Great quote. I suppose I fall in there somewhere, but nothing too extreme. :)

  2. Great quote! Fits my youngest son perfectly. ;)

  3. I love that quote too. I’ve sort of given up on changing the world by now, but we need those crazy people who believe it can be done. :)

    • We sure do! As for the world changing, I think important changes still happen, but mostly because people who were adamant opposing it are giving up, rather than the supporters pushing for it. Gay rights is a good example, where people who were against it are getting used to it and giving up the fight. It’s interesting how much the process for change has evolved in the past 50 years.

  4. That’s an inspiring quote. Here’s to the visionaries!
