We kiss and hug a lot at our house. No, I don’t have any cute kissing photos to share with you, but this love note should prove my point. It’s taped to our kitchen cabinet along with a few other love notes I shared in yesterday’s post on Valentine’s Day.
Now, if you’re looking for a photo of a very passionate kiss, you’ve come to the right place. I posted it on this blog a couple of years ago and it fits this WordPress weekly photo challenge theme perfectly.
If you’ve never seen killer whales kissing, this is what it looks like. Yes, these orcas are French kissing! And they did this for about 10 minutes the day I took this photo. Thank you, SeaWorld San Diego, for showing me that tongue kissing is so popular among marine mammals. I had no idea. You can click on the photo to see this kiss from up close.

how awesoooome!
Glad you enjoyed the kiss!
Love the note from your son. Priceless. And I’m sure the whales did that type of kissing for your sake, since you’re French. What considerate orcas.
It was very interesting to witness. At first I thought they were sharing food, but then you could see they were really kissing. A lot!
Wow!
Thank you!
Great picture!
By the way, after telling you I no longer get Valentine’s Day cards from my sons, my 12 year old surprised me by giving me one last night. It was handmade and just on lined paper using a pen, but he wrote nice words about me, and it made for a wonderful surprise. Guess I spoke too soon!
Aw, how sweet! You’ve got a nice young man right there. You know what they say about men. Behind every great man, there’s a great mom. :-)
Absolutely!
What a priceless note from your kid. :D
re the picture of the whales I can only say WOW. Brilliant capture!
Thank you! I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to showcase that picture for a while, so this was perfect.

Love this! The Whales are sooo cute!
You almost want to give them a kiss. I said, almost!
Aw, now those kind of notes makes your heart tingle doesn’t it?
So sweet ;)
Yes, and I’m lucky to get a lot of love notes. :-)
It is like whale erotica!
Yeah, it’d be called Fifty Shades of Grey Whale. :-)
I loved reading your “love” note.
Too bad we couldn’t slap some fur on those whales and then I could highlight them on my fur babies page. Simply adorable! :-)
Besides some eyelashes, it will be hard to pretend these whales are very furry. ;-)
That note is definitely a keeper!
I bet your son will be writing love notes to your wife in a couple of years too! I do keep a lot of the sweet love notes I get, as I figure it won’t last forever. I add them to the great artwork my son creates in a storage box for future memory recalling. Argh, they grow up so fast…
It is fast, isn’t it! I had to go back 3-1/2 years for this week’s challenge, but it seemed as though I had taken the photo much sooner than that.
It’s scary how time flies when you have kids. I’m hopping over your post right now.
Sweet x 2!
The whales are sweet but the love note is a winner :)
Thank you! It’s by far the best love note I’ve ever received. :-)
